It’s all about the young people of Suriname. That’s why we regularly ask: what do they themselves think about the YES trainings?
In our evaluation forms, we also invite students to describe what the YES training has meant to them using a metaphor. Here are a few of their responses:
- “I used to be a black-and-white TV, but since YES I see everything in bright color.”
- “YES is a camera for me, because now I have a picture of my life.” “YES saw me! Now I’m shining!”
- “I’ve become a leader and I can also help guide other people onto the right path.”
- “For me YES is a pen with which I can continue to write my life story.”
- “YES has made me aware, so now I walk on the path of light and not in the dark.”
